We are trying to find a movie for our son. There was a movie that was put out in the eighties about a boy who was learning to team rope, and suddenly became paralyzed from the waist down. His grandpa put him on a horse and taught him to rope despite his disability. We would like to find this movie for our disabled son. Can anyone tell us what the name of the movie is??

I believe the movie you're looking for is "Everything That Rises" Starring Ryan Merriman, Harve Presnell, Mare Winningham and Dennis Quaid. This is not, however, a movie from the 80's. It was put out in 1998. I am almost 100% positive this is the film you're looking for, though. :) WONDERFUL movie!
