I saw this online, and I'm curious as to what might have caused this. Can soemone answer this?

Definitely pretty gross image of some sort of skin disease. There are places on the hands where you can see it isn't faked, i.e. raw spots. I am thinking leprosy, but even leprosy doesn't look as bad as that. Sorry, ohso, can't tell you what it is.

Or on the other hand, it could be fake, and whatever kind of material they are faking it with has left areas of the skin looking quite irritated.

It's not fake, I've seen in in a text, but for the life of me I cannot remember what it is called.

I've heard that he has kerotine-like growths and that's what they are, I did a lot of digging, but I still haven't found what would cause it. It's real.

I Googled and found this site --

    Google Image Result for http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/images/easterneuropeskincondition1c.jpg

That names it as this disease: Lewandowsky-Lutz.

Apparently, there's a topical cream that can remove the lesions, or surgery will, but they just grow back. There's a photo online of a man with huge growths on hand, feet, and head. I had to stop searching and reading, it was so awful.
