A few weeks ago, I got a dog from a woman who said she was getting a divorce and needed someone to take her dog, so I told her I would. She told me that the dog was a full-blooded boxer, was a year old and was healthy and house broken. So far, none of that is true. This dog is super sweet but I think she might have some mental issues along with being very under weight. She eats four bowls of dog food every day but still has not put on any weight on. In addition, she is constantly going to the bathroom in the house. She does not even sniff around to find a spot to go she just goes where ever. This morning when we were playing she even jumped on the bed and peed on the bed. I tell her bad girl show her why she is being punished and I put her out side, but it is as if she never even reconciles that she is in trouble, she continues to wag her tail even when she is getting in trouble. I do not know what to do with this dog. Can someone please help me?

Have you taken her to your vet yet. If she is under weight, could be something is wrong, like worms. If she is peeing everywhere couid be that she isn't use to her new surroundings, it could be the she has kidney infection, or could be that she was never really house broken. Bottom line I would have her checked out by your vet. Good luck

This is an Old thread and it is also in the wrong Forum.

It sounds like the dog is sick. Check with your vet. If there is nothing wrong try switching to a high fat dog food. I had a lab who could not keep on weight unless we fed him high fat food.
