I hope someone can shed some light on this problem. We never had a water issue until :) the water dept came and lowered the water pressure from the street. :rolleyes: One of the other tenants was whining about something wrong with her water. Once they left the problem started. :confused: When we open the hot water faucet in the shower, it comes on a little weaker than it was but once you backit down almost to the closed position it clunks and the water dribbles out. :eek: It is also very hard to adjust the water settings to get just the right mix of hot and cold. ;) I called the water dept and they said the pressure was fine. :mad: The landlord is too busy raising the rent and building a new shopping center. His office manager follows his lead and stalls to fix anything. Needless to say we'll be out of here in May but would like to take a few comforting showers 'til then. Any help woukd be appreciated.

Just the shower faucet.

What it sounds like is in lowering the main pressure they dislodged some crud that has been drawn up into your shower valve. Shut the water off to it and open up the valve. Look for debris in the cartridge inlet ports and clean them out. Now, with the valve still open, turn the water back on to flush out the supplies. You should have a strong stream coming out of the open valve body. If not click on back to me. Regards, Tom

OK. I took the shower head off and checked.. . No debris. I ran the shower without the shower head on full force. Nothing got dislodged and when you turn down the stream it still clunks and dribbles.

Oh by the way, the tub faucet below the shower faucet also clunks and dribbles.
