Is a 2 year lease legal in the state of Florida?
I did sign a 2 year residential lease in the state of Florida startind in December of 2009. I was served by the court to notify me that the property is in foreclosure proceedings. I have emailed the owner who lives in Iceland, and keeps telling me that it was all a mistake by the bank. But it's never been my landlord responding to me , but his brother keeps responding to me. They should have it fixed in about 2-3 days... I'ts been now since April 25, when I was notified. First, is it legal for a Florida lease to be more than 1 year, and second, is it a breach of contact with the lease if it is indeed going into
    Foreclosure.

Yes, you can sign a 2 year lease and, no, it's not a breach if the house is going into foreclosure. You, as a tenant, have certain rights during the foreclosure process.
