I am the custodial parent. I have been divorced for 8.5 years. My children are 15 and 16. Their Dad is not cooperative around summer vacations. It is my pick of the vacation this summer... he refuses to let the girls join me in Hawaii. Can they choose to come with me given their ages?
I am sorry, I am confused, if you are the custodial parent I assumed they children did "live" with you?
Children can not decide where they live, they have to follow the court orders.
If you are merely talking about a summer vacation, most court orders do not order one parent to get permission on where they go on vacation during the time they have them, most movement out of state, is merely for a actual move.
You will have to go back to the acutal court order and follow the court order
