I have replaced my outside light, the switch is inside my house, I have connected the new light, but it will not switch off using the switch at the wall?

The three cables coming from my house are Red, Blue and yellow, and I'm correct in thinking that the yellow is the earth, because that is how I have wired it up, I know that the red is the live and blue is netural
