I have an internal hemorrhoid that is making my life a nightmare. I am alone with my son , I have to work to provide.I am not a happy person. It has been over a month. I try almost anything. Sometimes I really think it is over and then comes back to the point that I cry out loud. I am taking advil and decadron. I have always eating good, no fat, high fiber, all wholewheat in my house, fruits and vegetables are my everyday meals always. I don't bleed, it just get bad after using the bathroom. Hi Aninha. I totally know how you feel. I also got a hemorrhoid, but mine is from anal sex and I think we are on the same stage. Normal hemorrhoid does not inflame at all, nor itchy. If It's hurting and itching, you are on stage 2.
But if it's just pure pain and it keeps getting bigger and burning after u use toilet, then you're heading to stage 3, and that's not good.
I know this is horrible. I made an appointment with 3 specialist already and all of them have to make me wait until the next Friday. I couldn't wait until Friday, so I went to the pharmacy instead, and they gave me some tips that really works.
So here's what you should do:
You must sit down in a big bowl of warm/hot water (preferrably bathtub) to relax your hemorrhoid 3 times a day, and after that, towel it dry and apply your hemorrhoid cream.

Unfortunately, hemorrhoid your stage( and my stage) will not just go away by itself, so you have to get yourself a hemorrhoid cream and apply it every time u finish doing your business in the toilet.

I tried 3 hemorrhoid cream already, anyway, and 2 of them doesn't work for me, which is a waste of money.
1. Proctosedyl (Hydrocortisone, Dibucaine hydrochloride, Neomycin B sulfate and Esculoside)

2. Rectinol

3. Proctosedyl (Hydrocortisone 5mg, Cinchocaine hydrochloride 5mg)

The third one is the strongest hemorrhoid ointment that the pharmacy can offer. Luckily, it works.

And uhh, you have to shove your fingers in while using the ointment to reach your internal hemorrhoid. It's going to be very painful doing that, so.. make sure you cut your fingernails.

Some home remedies other than you have mentioned are :
1) Ointments and creams (Anusol, Ziro and Preparation H etc)
2) Suppositories (Proctosedyl etc)
3)use of ice to reduce swelling and pain of hemroids
4)Avoiding tight fitting underwear
5)Do exercise to get the blood moving.

Remember, if your hemorrhoid is prolapsed, be sure to tuck it back inside before inserting the suppository, for maximum effectiveness.
Extra Tips

Use a stool softener. Internal hemorrhoids won't have a chance to heal if your stood is too hard. Also, increase your fiber to reduce the risk that you'll strain during a bowel movement, which will keep internal hemorrhoids from healing. You can do this by either adding lots of whole grains and vegetables to your diet, or adding a psyllium supplement. Make sure to drink plenty of water to keeps your bowels functioning regularly. Finally, try dabbing a little petroleum jelly just inside your anus to help decrease irritation of the hemorrhoid during bowel movements.
