    Thoughts on PEX plumbing
We are thinking of replacing all the hot and cold water pipes from the main to the fixtures with Aquapex tubing system. This was recommended by a local plumber that we got an estimate from. I've done a few research, but am curious to what others' experiences are with this.

    Thank you.

It s a good material for the professionals with the crimper and any other tools needed to use it. I kind of lean toward letting the professional I am paying to do the job, do it his way. On the other hand, I do virtually all my own work, and if later I wanted to do a small job, I would be happier having the DIY friendly PVC/CPVC in my house.

Go back a few months ago, and there was an extended discussion here on PEX.
