I noticed this month that my menstral cycle was heavier than usual and there is a very foul odor. I gag every time I use the washroom. After bleeding for a week I am still having a light brown discharge and this awful ordor. Why is the odor so bad?

Possibly an infection or some other problem. Have you called a Physician?

It could be a lot of things and if the odor is that bad you should be examined.

Typically odor signifies infection. You will have to see your doctor to get this properly diagnosed.
