Does opera browser vrsion 9.0 and 8.54 save the website icon?

You mean the favicon, (the small icon next to URL)? v9.0 definitely does, I never tested on 8.54 so can't say for sure but I think it does. You should find them in Opera's default user directory in a folder called Icons.

If you don't know what Opera's default directory is on your machine then paste this into your url bar (as is without any http bit) and it will bring up your Opera config file at the relevant part.
