    Basement tub installation
In my roughed in basement bath, there is a 12"x12" black plastic cover in the floor. Does that cover the shower/bath drain pipe? If so to gain access I guess I just cut the plastic away

That sounds like a protective cover over the tub dap-out. When you remove it you should find a trap and raiser. Good luck, Tom

Do I cut away all of the cover all away around? Sounds like the thing to do
