Every week, me & my boyfriend try at least two new positions. Some nights he'll pick the two, & some nights I'll pick them.

Sometimes the positions are awkward, but it's always a great learning tool, because you can ask questions about why they wanted to try this one, & find out what feels best for you & your partner.

Plenty of discussion can come from things like this, too, which will lead to better communication. Better communication leads to more experimenting, & less awkwardness when it comes to asking for what you'd like, & vice versa.
