    Canola oil. Olive oil.

    ***ADDED***

    * Good Cooking Oils:
    O canola oil
    O flax seed oil
    O peanut oil
    O olive oil
    O non-hydrogenated soft margarine
    O safflower oil
    O sunflower oil
    O corn oil

    The following "bad" oils contain high percentage of trans fat or saturated fats. Some, such as coconut oil, even contain more saturated fats than animal products!

    * Bad Cooking Oils:
    O Vegetable shortening
    O Hard margarine
    O Butter
    O Palm oil
    O Palm kernel oil
    O Coconut oil

    Because of cholesterol I stopped cooking and using butter. I now Becel margarine for my bread products and sunflower oil for frying. I would say Becel product is better. Look it up on Google to find ingredients. It is omega-3.

    Hi, testuser22!

    Which kind of oil is it that you're thinking about, please?

    Thanks!

    I feel it all depends on what you are cooking. Some oils have a higher heat to fry certain things. Butter does not.

    I usually use a mix of olive oil and butter (so there is no burn) but I vary depending on what I make.

    Regular cooking is always Canola oil:D

    I either have canola or olive oil in my cabinet. I usually use butter for chicken breasts.

    I have Becel margarine for things like bread , etc.

    For cooking or homemade dressings I use olive oil.
