Have you noticed any ingrown hairs? Something similar happened to me before because I had a very swollen ingrown hair n one side of my outer labia. By the way virginia is a state-vagina is a body part!:)

Is it the lip its self? It could simply be a bartholian cyst. There is a small duct (sort of like a tear duct on your eye) that can become clogged and cause a large cyst bump and swelling.

If your concerned go to the doctor. When I get bartholian cysts the best thing to do is keep clean, dry with powder, and ice if it gets painfull.
