    Foreclosure on rental home
I live in a rental home and I received a notice from a lawyer that the house is being forclosed on and that there are 8 claims against my landlord. I just paid rent for this month and am pretty sure that the landlord is not going to give me back my deposit. I moved in 2 months ago and have paid the landlord a total of $4200.00. What are my rights about breaking the lease and moving? Can he sue me in court? Can I sue him and get my deposit back?

Actually, your lease will be broken with the foreclosure. The bank does not have to honor the lease once it forecloses. So there is little likelihood of him suing you. You can sue him, but if he is being foreclosed on its unlikely you will find any money to collect. Your only hope is that your state requires that the deposit be placed in an escrow account and that he complied with the law. In that case you would have first claim against that account.
