    Shared parenting agreement
I have a shared parenting agreement, however my 16 year old has not seen her father in almost 2 years and I have not received any money since the beginning of 2008. I want to move out of my current county. The county is in financial trouble as well as the school district. What do I need to do?

If there is a visitation agreement in place and your moving will prevent the father from exercising that visitation, then you need to get the courts permission to move.

You can argue to the court that the father hasn't exercised the visitation for 2 years (don't mention support issues, those are separate).

I guess I need to get my lawyer involved? Do you know if there is some type of form that I can complete myself?

First and foremost you need to address the child support situation. If he isn't seeing the children then it is no longer Shared custody. At the custody hearing is where you can make a plea for a move away. How far are you planning to move?

That shouldn't affect his visitation, so the court shouldn't have a problem with it.
