My friend just had her bundle of joy 3 and a half weeks early. She had her baby shower planned for this weekend coming. She wants to know now can she have the baby shower still or since the baby is born should she make it into a welcoming the baby day.

So what does everyone think is it OK to still have the baby shower or not?

Personally, it wasn't until a few years ago that I noticed people having a baby shower before they had the baby. In my experience it was always done after the baby was born.

In other words, of course she can have a baby shower. Besides, who cares what you call it, it's just a day to get together, meet the baby, bring some gifts, have some cake and enjoy. I doubt anyone is going to go home thinking "I can't believe she called it a baby shower!" ;)
