Brake light switch Ford Falcon 1995
We have a 1995 Ford Falcon Stationwagon. The brake light doesn't work anymore. I tried a bit to move the switch manually and that worked. So manually moving the switch up and down works and activates the brake lights. But the switch doesn't move up and down when I just use the brake pedal. I read about the post suggesting to spray WD40 on the switch. I tried that but with no success. Is there anything I could try or check like a loose spring or just a screw or something like that to fix the connection between pedal and switch? I don't think (or hope?) I have to replace the whole switch.

    Thanks.

Would help if you have someone at the back of the car letting you know when it is making a connection(or a test light at the switch). See where it makes and brakes, may be able to adjust.
Brake switchs are cheap and easily installed if adjustment doesn't work.

Check continuity and try adjusting the switch, prior to replacement.

Thanks to the two of you. How do I adjust the switch?
