Living together rights to ownership of house
Florida situation / when my mom passed away, years after a lady moved in with him as companion and pays for food and gas in his car. Three years ago my dad established with me right of survivor legal document. What is the legal responsibility to his live in friend?

You have to treat his live-in friend as a tenant. When your father passes away if she is still there she has the same status as a tenant. If you want her to leave you would have to go through eviction procedures.

Yes, if he did not add her to the deed, and if he did not leave her the house in a will, she has no claim to the home

Thank you both for your comments. Let me add that inky dads living trust he would like to have his live in friend remain in the house for 4 months, if he should pass away. Presently, the situation is complicated because his friend is suffering from demenchia and fading fast.

    Hello s:

It sounds like her situation is going to be dealt with before your dads passing. Hopefully, if your dad can't take care of her, she has family that can.
