John deere L120 starts won't move forward belt seems too loose
Recently, I repaired a flat tire on my mower. After replacing the wheel, the machine will not move forward or backwards. The engine starts, however, when I engage the pedal to move the mower, nothing happens. The wheel cotter key is in place, and the rod that has to be engaged in the rear of the mower is properly engaged, yet nothing happens. After examining the belt, it seems to be extreamly loose, however, I don't know the tension that the drive belt has to be engaged in. It is properly engaged on all of the pulleys.

    Any suggestions?

    HI,
The 3/32" x 2" square key that locks the wheel to the axle is missing.
    Peace,
    Clarke
