Hello,
Please help with these questions:
1. The correlation between height and weight for adults is 0.80. What percentage of the variability in weight is associated with the relationship to height? Is it, 80%, 4%, 20% or 64%?
2.If an experimental finding of t(5)=+2.8, p<.05 should I be concerned?
a. no, the result is mathematically correct.
b. no, that alpha is .05 is stringent enough.
c. yes, +2.8 is a large value for t.
d. yes, the sample size is very small.
3. the result of hypothesis tests are: t(18) =2.25, p<.05. Based on this, what was the statistical decision on how big was the sample?
a. the null hypothesis was rejected with sample of n=18
b. the null hypothesis was rejected using a sample of n=19
c. the null hypothesis was not rejected using a sample of n=18
d. the null hypothesis was not rejected using a sample of n=19.
thank you in advance.
