We have a Hunter ceiling fan with four side lights and one central dome light. The pull switch on the light fixture had to be replaced. We know the wiring for the four side lights, but not for the central light. The central light has four wires: two white and two black which somehow connect to the red wire from the pull switch. Presuming the white wires are the ground, do both black wires get connected to red wire of the pull switch?

The pull switch has three wires: black, red and blue.

Black connects to the hot from the fan-- usually black/white striped in a hunter.

The hot wires from the center light connect to the blue wire, the hot wires from the outer lights connect to the red. All the neutrals connect together.
