How to change double sink to single sink in the restroom
I have a double vanity in the masterbed room. I want to convert it to single for more space.

    Hi Jansport5:

    All depends...

Can you reuse the plumbing to at least one of the sinks? In other words, when you install the new single bowl vanity can it be placed so that you can reuse the pipes or will you be centering the new vanity in between where the two old sinks were?

If you can reuse the pipes from one sink then it should be as easy as capping off the unneeded water and the waste pipes so they just fall inside the wall. Then you'll patch the wall and repipe the other existing pipes so they line up with the new sink.

If the new sink won't line up with the existing pipes then you may need to get more involved and cut/cap/relocate the pipes as needed.

Let us know if you need more.. OK?
