If I'm in an intimate relationship with someone, I would share with them about things from my past that might have an effect on our relationship. So, in effect, I wouldn't have any fears about those sort of things.

There are things in mine or anyone's past though, that most likely would not have any effect on the relationship and also would not be likely to be brought up, so the revelation of them has no real bearing anyway.

Pertinent information is enough. Too much information can hinder a relationship from moving into the future.

That their cheating

Unwanted pregnancy and disease were my biggest fears. Whether she could deal with what I had done, or was doing, was her problem not mine.
