Boosting single gravity cold water supply to an instantaneous heating shower
I had a mains supply, instantanous heating, shower fitted over the bath at my fathers house. I chose mains supply because I thought that the pressure (less than 1m head of water) from the header tank in the attic would be too low for the shower. Unfortunately, from the start the water heating was functioning only intermittently or not at all. Looking at the instructions I see that the shower requires a fairly good pressure and flowrare at that pressure. I obviousy can't boost the mains pressure. Since the mains pipe it is connected to is in the attic, it will be fairly easy to reconnect the shower pipe to the cold water tank and then I could boost the pressure on that. However I can not find any pumps designed to boost just the pressure of a gravity cold water supply to an instantaneous heated shower. Does anyone know of one? It will be great if someone can advise.
Thank you.
