Just recently bought a 1983 ford e350. When driving at night, only the position lights/parking lights will come on in the front when the lights are turned on and the main headlights don't come on unless the brights are switched on. This is causing some obvious problems with night driving. Suggestions?

Have you tried changing a bulb or 2 yet? Its possible both lights have burned out low beam.
