So, I have these two really close guy friends and I love hanging out with them. I used to like one of them and then he went off to college and I got super close with his best friend. Just the other day I found out that they both like me and they want to know which one of them I like. They want an answer as soon as possible, but I'm still trying to process the fact that they don't like me as just a friend. Now, the one that moved away is back for the summer and I don't think I like him like that anymore and the other guy (his best friend) I'm really starting to like. I just don't know what to do because either way I feel like I'm the bad guy and I don't want to get between their friendship... or ours.

So they're forcing you to decide between the two of them? What if you choose someone else? What if you don't want to be with either of them? Are they just assuming that you want to be with one of them?

Since they're friends if you pick either of them, one of them will be upset. If you truly do like one of them, then be honest but don't feel like you need answer them right away. It's not a game show. You do have other options.

Unfortunately, you're probably right. Sometimes it's hard to be friends with people that you know like you for more than a friend, unless you feel the same way. It makes it hard when you have two friends like that though, and they're friends on top of it all. What happens if you pick neither and tell them you don't want to ruin the friendship between the three of you and if something develops on it's own you can't feel bad about that.

If you don't choose either of them, you may keep them both as friends, once they get over their young guy rivalry.

I don't think its fair, they put you in the middle of this, so just tell them both, " Guys, your both my friends, so lets just keep it that way." I am sure they both will be happy with that. And you keep your friends, and don't have to force romance.

You better figure they have been talking, and made you a prize to be awarded to the best guy. Its all about bragging rights.

Geez, sounds like a bachlorette game. Listen, it sounds like you don't like either guy enough at the moment to go into a meaningful relationship with either one... and it's going to be awkward no matter what you do, things won't be the same... so being honest with them is always the best bet;
