2004 ford explorer speedometer, battery, oil gauge, rpm isn't working... Help!!
I have an 2004 ford explorer V6 and the entire speedometer, battery gauge, oil gauge, and RPM is working properly. The odd thing is that the odometer, fuel, and overheat gauge is functioning normally. The rest the gauges overshoots and stay stagnant at max. Please guide me on where to start checking to see where is the source of the problem. Thank very much!

Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

If the problem persists, you may have to check out the instrument panel.

    Instrument cluster reprogramming
    Hi,

How can reprogram a new instrument cluster for a 2004 ford explorer to insure accuracy? Can it be done at home are do you have to send it in to a special service center? Thanks for your assistance!
