I have a Genie garage door opener (belt drive) about 2 years old. It gets stuck quite often. It doesn't operate from remote or wall switch. Only way I can make it work is first disconnect the latch (door). Than either open or close (depending where it is stuck) the door manually. After that realeas the latch and push the remote control. The slider moves and engages the door and then it would operate. This happens almost every other day.

Everything check out fine. The sensor and limit switches seems to be working fine. Will greatly appreciate any clue. Thanks.

The limit switches may be loose and moved the adjustment. They may be working correctly but adjustment is wrong. Had similar problem. The limit switch should be set so to middle of adjustment so u can adjust either way. If set to close to end of adjustment can create this problem.
