this won't balance as written.
iodate can be converted to iodine using bisulfite... are there other equations you were given? Is this for a lab?
you will never be able to balance the eq using those reagents alone. Explain what you are doing.
Need to reduce iodine from (+5) state to (0) state for this to take place
