    H1B Immigration cancel Status
    Hi,

My employer fired me last year June 2009. And I came back to india immideatly. I don't know is he cancled my visa or not. I did not asked sofar. Because, if I ask him, he might take a immideate step to cancel my visa. So, I did't asked yet.

Is their any chance to check our status through USCIS? I am always checking my status through receipt number. It shows the same information when I my petition approved. So, how can I know the present status of my visa. My visa still valid up to next year.

Please guide me how can I proced now.

    Appreciate your answer.

    Regards,
    Ravi

The H-1B visa is employer-specific. If you were fired, regardless of what the employer did or did not do, the visa is invalid as you have no petitioner.

Find a new petitioner and file again. You will not need to worry about the cap, as you were counted in a previous filing year. You will be limited in max time on the new H-1B petition. Good luck.
