New computer won't connect to monitor
Recently I had to replace my old computer because it wouldn't boot up.

I bought a brand new computer because my old one apparently had too many problems to be fixed (something about the power supply and graphics card being out-dated).

The power comes on, but it's just that the computer monitor that says "No Signal". I made sure all the wires are put in the correct order. (Even plugged it out and back in) I tried this on a different monitor as well, but it's still not working.

    What's the problem?

Is there more then 1 connector to hook your cable to? Did you try both? Is this brand new out of the box?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Which connector are you talking about?

"Is this brand new out of the box?"
Yes, it's brand new. Came with a box. The computer guys down at the store had to install some things though (like Windows and Microsoft Office) but otherwise it hasn't been touched.

On many newer machines there is more then one video connector on the machine. Since this is brand spanking new you might want to call the store and have a tech drop by.

Really? Could it be the green pin-slot that's over the blue pin-slot (the one where the monitor is connected to) that you're talking about? I'm comparing my sister's computer to my new one, and that seems to be the difference.

However I don't have the plug that goes in that plug... you'd think it'd come with the computer, but other than the power cord, nothing else was included.

Yeah, looks like I'll have to call them again.

Sometimes what happens is it comes with a plug inserted in the back and its for a different monitor. You may have to remove it to plug yours in. The adaptor may already be on it for HDMI or something else. Could be why your not seeing it.

Well I've checked again, and there's 4 plugs that are in the back right now:

    - The power plug
    - Keyboard
    - Monitor
    - Internet

If the green pin-slot is not what you're talking about, then I'm not sure what it is.
