My girlfriend is going through a divorce. It has been filed and a finalization date is set for July 13th 2010. They are supposedly legally separted now. The divorce was file last year in may or June sometime. She has since became pregnant with my child. Can she still proceed? She is freaking out because in Arkansas she says the law states no divorce while pregnant. But I was wandering since it was while legal separtion if there were any exceptions.

In many jurisdictions it would be held up until the child is born. The reason is because the courts would want to know who the legal father is. In many states it is presumed to be the husbands and child support will be part of the divorce.
