    BIOS Weather Thermometer
I have a BIOS wireless Weather Thermometer (the unit says BIOS Weather Station on the front and FCC ID: OWF-WSRX /0881 on the back). The unit stopped work so I replaced the battery and the display is still blank, is their anything that I can try (troubleshooting) or just trash it? Thanks, Bob

Have you tried the old trick of using an eraser on the contacts for the battery? I've had some problems with my wireless LaCrosse indoor/outdoor thermometers and using an eraser on the battery contacts always solved the problem.

Also, how old is your unit? I also had a different brand of indoor/outdoor wireless thermometer and even using the eraser trick didn't fix it. I had the outdoor sending unit still work after putting in new batteries but the indoor unit which is in my bathroom stopped reading the outdoor temp and just displays the indoor temp. That unit was about 6 years old.

The LaCrosse unit that I have has 2 indoor stations and is over 6 years old and still going strong.

Is it possible that you put the battery into the unit with the plus end the wrong way? I did that once and the unit was trashed.

If the eraser thing does not work then you've got a nice paper weight.
