I keep getting pains in the lower part of my tummy but only get them now and then

There is no way to tell what this is via the internet. Could be gas, could be ovulation, could be cysts, could be a UTI. You will have to seek medical attention to get this resolved.

No one can tell for sure, you would need to be examined by a doctor. If your pains are really bad, go to ER to be evaluated by a doctor there. If they aren't that bad, make an appointment with your regular doctor. The "lower part of your tummy" contains a lot of things. It could be gas, or it could be a problem with your large intestine, small intestine, stomach, overies, uterus, appendix... lots of stuff down there. So, no, no one would be able to tell you online what your occasional lower tummy pain might be.
