    Can crack make you crazy
I believe that my mother is smoking crack or meth or both. She has all of the classic sings and all of her friends do either or both of the drugs. The problem is she won't admit to it and won't get help for it.I think that she buying laced weed. What can I do to help her realize what she is doing? How can I separate myself from what she's doing and not have it effect me directly?

Please provide your mother's age and your age. I'll see what I can find for you.

First there is little you can do, sorry but a user wants to be a user and often will never stop and others won't stop till they have hit bottom.

Are you old enough to leave home ?

Crack is hardcore and she'll go paranoid and do anything to get some more rock. You want to stay clear. Users get desperate and she may get violent or steal your own cash.

She won't realize until she hits the lowest of the low.and even then she might not care. Nothing you can do on your own but worry about yourself and your own safety.

Do you have other family members to talk to, and get guidance from? That's where a kid with parents who do drugs should start. Aunts, uncles, or grand parents can be a big help!

Fr_Chuck and Pawnstar have provided you with what may be an unfortunate truth.

But you must do something. You cannot continue to live as you are.

talaniman has provided a logical and necessary first step given your age and dependent status. Please act on this advice.

    Hello Dr.

I see nothing about her age other than your question. If you have some information I don't have, please share it. It IS relevant, as you indicated. I'd like to answer too.

That's a great point as age is certainly a factor, but after family there is:

The local chapter of Ala-teens, who are great with giving guidance to children of dope doers, and Alanon, for older people with the same problem.

    They are free, and anonymous.
