My outdoor cat's eye has been slightly closed for over a day now, we tried to clean it and stuff but it seems like nothing worked.

Her eye is also has puss build up all around it, we wipe it, and it comes back within 5 minutes. Does anyone know what this could be, or what we could do.

We never took her to the vet because we found her outside, and she stays outside. If we have to we will, but I was hoping someone would know what it is, or what to do. Thanks

BUT it is impossible to diagnose over the Internet. This could be anything from an infection (which it sounds like) to something chronic.

She needs to see a Vet.

It could be that something got in her eye or it got scratched. It could be an eye infection. It could be a cold. It could be allergies. Only a vet can tell you for sure.

If it doesn't get treated, she can lose vision in that eye. If the infection is bad enough, she could actually lose the entire eye. The vet will probably give you an eye wash and antibiotics for her.

When you take her to the vet, I would suggest getting her rabies and feline leukemia shots and making sure she's fixed.
