Statute of limitations already expired in the State of Texas?
If a stolen utility trailer was sold with a fake bill of sale, over three years ago, would charges be able to be filed or would the statute of limitations have expired?

without knowing the exact charge they may use, and the value of the trailer.

If it is a misdemeanor it would expire I believe in 2 years, but if a felony it would go 5 years. So it is possible that charges could still be filed.

The value of the utility trailer is less than $3500.00. As for the exact charge, I would imagine theft greater than $2500, less than $20,000
