Periodic itching, usually after my period, to the right side of my mons pubis. First I notice small bumps like a rash that eventually becomes a painless sore. Itching is worse when I sweat or the bikini line is moist.
I have shaved off hair and tried to reduce moisture but itching starts about a week after my period and when I scratch, leads to bumps that become sores.

Shaving probably isn't going to help since it usually irritates the sensitive skin there. I would either skip removing hair all together, or try waxing or sensitive formula hair removers. Be careful about what kind of soaps you use too, and what sorts of detergents and detergents you use.
