My elderly diabetic mother-in-law is 220 lbs and has a large roll of skin on her belly that has turned into a red rash. What can I use to treat this? Could I use the spray antifungal that is used for athlete's foot fungus on this?

My late husband was diabetic - he was also a Doctor of Pharmacy. He consulted with a Physician before he used ANY over the counter product. There are prescription anti-yeast products (which this very well may be) which work very well.
It is extremely dangerous to use products which are intended for one use for another, particularly for diabetics.
I am at a loss as to why you would even consider this.
Because I thought it was probably a fungus, I have been looking on internet and I believe her condition is Intertrigo which is a fungal infection. Treatment is antifungal creams.
