    Windows explorer has stopped working
Hey I'm using HP pavilion2000 dv.I came up with a recent problem in my laptop is that thr is a pop cuming as"windows explorer has stopped working".the options given to me are"restart the program" and 2nd option "check for online sloution and restart the program".
This problem is coming in safe as well as normal mode.I m not able to do a single activity or open even a single program because this keeps poping up and not allowing me to execute any program even from cd/dvd or pendrive.
When I clicked on program detail the foll data was shown:

Maybe this is due to the virus in my PC.I don't want to format my PC.

I got a original vista cd .when I tried to put it.there is a option coming of "repair my PC"(after pressing F8).will clicking on that option will format my whole drive and my data will be deleted or my data will remain as it is..?

Hp is pretty good about keeping your data but you have to specify to keep it. If it doesn't give you the option vista usually will save the data in "windows.old" under c: You can always run checkdisk and restart the explorer.exe service every time it does it. Also run "sigverif" this will tell you any application compatibility problems with your windows core files.
