Just connected a lexmark printer Z517, put a new color and black ink cart in and installed the driver, it won't print in black, color. Part of the black text will not print.
Could the black ink cart be bad as I bought it from walmart.

Before taking the black cart back, you might try this:

1. Fold a paper towel about 4 times to create a small pad
2. Wet the towel with water
3. Squeeze out all the water you can
4. Flatten the towel out on a table
5. Take the ink cart and lightly press it into the towel
   (You want the place where ink comes out to touch the towel)
6. Repeat step 5 a few times on a clean spot on the towel
   (Note that ink may start flowing more heavily as you go -- a good thing!)
7. Put the cart back in the printer and try to print
