When I boot up my laptop it starts just fine. Then the screen goes black. If you wiggle the suspend switch the color returns. I have completed the os repair and it did not work. I think the suspend switch might be bad. Can this be repaired? Does it cost a lot?

What are you talking about as a suspend switch? Some versions of Windows have a sleep mode where the PC will hibernate, thereby using less energy, after a time. Pressing the power key or a key combination will generally bring it out of hibernation.

If there is a specific button or switch to initiate and/or return from sleep mode and its broken you would have to contact the mfg for a repair cost estimate.
