I have a Rheem Classic model number rcgj60a1gg24. The unit continues to freeze and with probably a 1/2 gallon of water dripping over a 15 minute period. Also when the temp is set to 76 it somehow lowers itself to 72

Does the outdoor unit stay running even with the t-stat off? Cold be low on freon, or dirty air filter.
