Just got a new transmisson put in my truck.Does not shift in overdrive. My engine and ABS light is on. Just got the transmisson check guy said it fine. What could be the problem?

Doesn't the truck have to be in a certain gear to use overdrive?

Yes please bear with me I'm french my english isn't that good. When I go at around 100 km/hr it should kick in. Its like the truck as no power.

My dad has the same problem with his silverado.. its something with the chevys.. take it to the chevy dealer and just say it doesn't kick in.. and don't fall for it when they tell you there's nothing wrong because that's what they told my father... and your english is excellent haha.

Did it end up being the transmisson? The guy said it's probably a censer. I hate to fix it or even dring it in for a diagnose and it's not that I will spend money for nothing. Then it end up being the transmisson.

no it wasn't the transmission it was something else- I don't know if it was a censor.. but my dad has had sum sort of censor problem with his truck- but I don't know if it had anything to do with overdrive
