Hi, we had a leak in the tiled shower stall. The sealant between the liner and the drain flange was not Ok and so the water was getting to the subfloor. Now they have put the tile glue without tearing out the whole thing. I am not convinced it is done right. My question, is it possible to correctly reseal the liner to the drain flange ? When I do a flood test by plugging the drain below the weep hole level, how much water should be put ? And shoud the water level remain the same?

Can you post a picture? How was the liner attached to the flange originally, leaded?

I don't think it was leaded. But they resealed it with some kind of a tile glue.

Is the liner copper or rubber or what?

It is a blue PVC liner by compotite. Please let me know how deep below the surface of the drain we have to plug and how much water to put.

It is very hard to fix liner-to-drain leak. Question: When you remove drain cover and look inside the drain, can you see liner between bottom and upper halves of the drain ?

If that's the case you have a flange type shower flange,(see image) .
As you can see the bottom part of the flange installs under the Blue Coimpotite and the top part with the drain clamps down over it to make a water tight seal,(see image), This is where I believe you'll find your leak. You can't repair this type of leak from the drain lip. You have to get to the source,

As soon as they tell you they repaired the leak by caulking the lip of the drain. Let me know the results.
