    Florida PTI
I am charged for a third degree grand theft, a felony. I want to know if I complete my PTI program, will I still be convicted of the felony?
I didn't steal everything at once, so I would suppose it was be separate misdemeanors but then would I get PTI, or would I have to stay with the misdemeanors?
    Help please.
    THANKS.

It depends on the Judge, the DA's recommendation, your cooperation, your Attorney's advice and the dollar amount of the thefts. If this is a pattern of theft (and it would appear that it is because you say it didn't all happen at one time) I don't think you'll qualify for the PTI program.

PTI can be offered to FIRST TIME OFFENDERS with not more than ONE third degree felony.

    How were you charged?

It all summed up the $376.00, but like I said it wasn't all at one time. So what I want to know is, if I complete the PTI, (which I'd qualify for because I've never been arrested or convicted before) would my record still show the felony charge?
I understand that it stays with my arrest, not sure what kind of description stays, but I want don't want to "correct" the police report and tell the court it was all separate occasions and maybe it be dropped to several misdemeanors.

Underlying question: will my record still have a felony if I complete PTI?
