Suing a friend for money but based agreement of payment verbally
I have a lease on my name and I had to move somewhere else. The friend offered to take up my lease but stayed for 2 months without signing it and he then moved out.I now owe R1, 600 to the agent and he does not want to pay for the 1 month I asked him to pay. This was a verbal agreement. How can I sue him?

You file in Small Claims Court. You take any proof you have. Your friend takes any proof he has. You both tell your stories. The Judge believes one of you.

You are in the UK, right ? The agents are reporting to the owner. In answer to your other post, I don't know what you expect us to advise you, you have to find the money, or they will sue you and they will win because you owe it.

You have 3 posts that look like they are separate, are they all the same story? Do not make a new post each time, just respond in the open box at the bottom.
