    Uh-Oh, I did it again..
    I got another Wal-Mart puppy...

He's a Shepard mix. He looks like a wolf baby. Very cute!

I saved him from this lady who has no business having kids, let alone dogs.

He's 4 months old and weighs 10lbs :( Very emaciated. I can count every rib on his body. He more than likely has every worm there is. The lady who was peddling puppies said she wormed them once with VANILLA FLAVORED CHEWING TOBACCO... No shots.

He was running around the ladys vehicle off leash, in the parking lot, facing a very busy street, and about 1000 ft or so, from a major hwy.

Anyway... I had to let everyone know about the de-worming with chewing tobacco. I thought that was absurd. And stupid me didn't get the ladys phone number to turn her into animal control. Ugh!

As far as I know there is no such thing as worming a dog with chewing tobacco. How absurd. You are right. That woman shouldn't have kids or dogs.

Take to the vet and have your little one checked out and properly wormed.

Chewing tobacco is a very old home remedy for worms. I wouldn't think it would be very safe, but then it was more commonly used before current commercial wormers came along. So, I guess that anything was better than nothing back then.

Congrats on the new member of the family, Lucky. Does he have a name, yet?

No name yet.. He looks like a black shepard with white on the chest and brown feet. Very cute. I'll post a pic in a bit!

He got a good dose of Nemex last night. Large, adult worms this morning.. yucky! He's going to get another dose probably Wed.

I've never heard of chewing tobacco to be a wormer... apparently it didn't work lol

Not sure if I'm going to keep him for myself, or put him up for adopt in a couple of months. He's aboslutely adorable and no mistakes yet! He's a smart little guy!

    Naughty Lucky!

He's definitely in a better place now though, good on you.

Can I suggest "Wally" or "Marty" for where he was 'found'

He's a cutie. Actually, tobacco was supposed to be the second dose for worms. Ask me what the first dose was only if you have an empty stomach.

Cute pup! Ollie is a cute name. I had a kitten I fostered a long time ago, well two actually, beautiful long hair white cats with beautiful full mains. Their names were Oliver and Jeeba.

Ok Cats I think I know, but curiosity is getting the better of me. What was the first method?

    WARNING Gross Out Ahead WARNING

A tablespoon of kerosene per ten pounds and don't let them throw it up.

Three days later a plug of tobacco and bowl of rice to stop the diarrhea.

Nice. I had a feeling it had to do with kerosene. When I got Max, they were feeding him kerosene and raw hamburger.

Very cute! Looks like a rottweiler, shepherd, collie mix maybe? Tobacco and kerosene will kill everything, including the pup if it eats too much! Glad you were able to save the puppy! He looks like Oliver :)

His mom was a border collie mix and dad was the pure bred GSD.

Still no accidents in the house! Yay!

He's adorable and his name suits him.

I'm voting that you keep him.

That's one vote that Ollie stays with Lucky. Anyone else? ;)
